Lost Luggage at Robert-Tillmanns-Haus?

fmd_good Robert-Tillmanns-Haus

So, I stayed at the Robert-Tillmanns-Haus last week. Gorgeous place, seriously. The architecture is amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. But...my luggage didn't arrive. It's a long sto… more

Yeah, travel is a rollercoaster, isn't it? Lost luggage is the absolute worst. I've had similar dramas, though not at that specific hotel. My advice? Document EVERYTHING. Photos of your luggage tags, your flight info, the hotel's confirmation email – even screenshots of your online luggage tracking (if you had it). The more evidence you have, the better. Then, report it immediately to the hotel AND your airline. Most importantly, stay calm – easier said than done, I know. The hotel might have a lost-and-found, but ultimately, the airline is responsible. They should help you file a claim and, hopefully, get your stuff back quicker than it took me. Good luck!

Thanks! That's really helpful. I did take photos of my luggage tag, thankfully. I've already reported it to the hotel – their lost and found was… underwhelming, to say the least. Just a tiny little box. I'll contact the airline now too. Fingers crossed! It's mostly clothes, so not the end of the world, but still a pain.

fmd_good Landesamt für Bürger- und Ordnungsangelegenheiten: Referat Fahrerlaubnisse

So, I'm finally getting around to renewing my driving license. I've lived in @Berlin for five years, and this Landesamt für Bürger- und Ordnungsangelegenheiten – Referat Fahrerlaubnisse place is... l… more

Nah, you weren't lucky. The Bürgeramt is a lottery. Sometimes it's a three-hour hellscape, sometimes it's surprisingly quick. I think it depends on the day of the week, the moon phase, and maybe what the official had for breakfast. I’ve had both experiences – once, I was in and out in 45 minutes. Another time, I almost lost my mind. It's all a crapshoot, really. Enjoy your smooth sailing while it lasts!
