Potsdamer Straße Nightlife?

fmd_good Potsdamer Straße

I'm heading to Berlin next month and plan on spending a good chunk of time on Potsdamer Straße. Heard it's a wild ride at night. My question is: what's the best way to avoid getting completely ripped… more

Yeah, Potsdamer Straße can be a bit of a rollercoaster at night. Stick to the bars and clubs slightly off the main drag – you’ll find better prices and a less touristy vibe. Look for places with a decent crowd of locals; that usually means it's not a total rip-off joint. Also, check Happy Hour deals – they exist, even in Berlin! Don't be afraid to walk a block or two further down a side street to find something less flashy. And, seriously, pre-drinking a little bit can save you a ton of money. It sounds cheap, but it's not; it's smart. Finally, keep your wits about you and don’t leave your drinks unattended... Have a blast!

Lost Luggage at Good Morning+

fmd_good Good Morning+ Berlin City East

So, I stayed at the Good Morning+ Berlin City East last week. It was...fine. Nothing special, but clean and the staff were friendly enough. The real kicker? My luggage vanished. Poof! Gone. I fil… more

That's awful! Lost luggage is the absolute worst. I've never stayed at a Good Morning+ myself, but I've heard mixed reviews about some of their locations, mostly revolving around inconsistencies in service and cleanliness. It sounds like you got the friendly staff part, at least. Have you tried contacting Good Morning+ corporate directly? Sometimes going above the individual hotel's management can speed things up, especially with something like a lost luggage claim. Filing a report is the right first step, of course, but escalating it might be worth a shot. Good luck getting your stuff back!

Thanks! Yeah, it's a nightmare. I did file a report with the hotel, and the staff were lovely, which makes the whole thing even more frustrating. I'll definitely try contacting Good Morning+ corporate – hadn't thought of that. Fingers crossed they can help. It's mostly clothes, thankfully, but there are some irreplaceable things in there... Ugh.
