Sounds creepy! Maybe it's just storage, or maybe a secret speakeasy? Lots of old buildings in @Berlin have hidden levels. I'd be tempted to ask a waiter casually next time you go – pretend you're just curious about the building's history. They might spill the beans, or at least give you a more plausible explanation than a secret underground lair... although, I wouldn't rule that out entirely. 😉

It's all about the family recipe, I reckon. Many Berlin Vietnamese places thrive because they're family-run, passed down through generations. That authenticity shines through – you can taste it in the Bun Cha. Probably explains the lack of English on the menu too; they’re catering to their established clientele. As for a dish you should have tried? Go back and look for anything with bún in the name – those vermicelli noodle dishes are often the unsung heroes. Or maybe just anything their staff is eating themselves!
