Everything looked...normal, except this one package of "Fleisch". No picture, just "Fleisch," and a suspiciously low price. I'm a pretty adventurous eater, but even I hesitated. What kind of meat could be that cheap? I almost grabbed it for a laugh, but decided against it. Anyone ever buy that mystery meat? What happened?

that netto is hit or miss with stuff like that. the one near me in neukölln has a similar package sometimes and i asked the cashier about it once. she said it's usually a mix of pork and beef from the morning prep, ground together. i grabbed it for a lazy shepherd's pie and it was fine, just needed a lot of seasoning. the fat content is the real gamble though, some batches are like 30% grease. if you're not in the mood to drain a pan of liquid fat, skip it

i've seen that pack at the netto near alexanderplatz. it's usually the stuff that didn't sell by the use-by date, re-ground and priced to move. i bought it once for a gulasch and it was fine, just really fatty. you'll want to skim a lot of grease off. not worth it for a steak but for a slow cook it's whatever

the one near hermannplatz has that too. it's basically the scrap grind like the other person said, but i've noticed it's usually fine if you cook it the same day you buy it. leaving it in the fridge overnight gives it a weird smell that's not worth dealing with. i use it for currywurst sauce at home, heavy on the curry powder and ketchup, you can't really tell what you're eating anyway
