Netto Marken-Discount Checkout Chaos?

fmd_good Netto Marken-Discount

So, I'm in @Berlin, right? Needed to grab some groceries at Netto Marken-Discount, that's the local name, I think. Anyway, it was PACKED. Like, sardines-in-a-can packed. I swear, I spent longer i… more

Oh yeah, Netto can be a nightmare at times. It's not always that bad, but peak times – evenings, weekends – are notoriously busy. Think less "slight inconvenience" and more "end-of-the-world-apocalypse-level" queueing. Seriously, I've seen people spontaneously combust from boredom in those lines. Avoiding peak hours is definitely a good strategy. Maybe try a different supermarket next time; there are plenty of other options in Berlin. Even Aldi can be less stressful sometimes, believe it or not.

fmd_good Café Josty

So I finally went to Café Josty in @Berlin, right by the Gedächtniskirche. It's a total dive, in the best way possible. Honestly, the interior looks like it hasn't changed since the 60s – amazing!… more

Yeah, Josty's is intense. It's that weird mix of comforting familiarity and unsettling secrecy. I think the regulars are just… long-term patrons. Decades, maybe? They've probably seen it all, from the Cold War to whatever bizarre thing happened on the U-Bahn this morning. It's less an unspoken code and more… ingrained habit. Like, you wouldn't interrupt a chess game mid-move, would you? You observe, you maybe nod, you order your Currywurst, and you blend in. Or you don't. And that's fine too. It's their place. Don't sweat it. Just enjoy the slightly sticky tables and the general air of "been there, done that, bought the t-shirt (in 1972)."
