Haha, yeah, that perfectly captures it! The sheer audacity of some people... squeezing in even when there's clearly no room. And the intense phone-staring – a universal language of elevator avoidance. I've tried that too, but sometimes you still get the death stare from someone you've inadvertently blocked. That scent though...you're right, it's aggressively opulent. It's like they're trying to subtly bankrupt you before you even get to the bar.
