Moabit's a bit of a maze, you're right. Stick to the main streets – Torstraße and Turmstraße are your friends. They're pretty easy to follow and branch off to lots of smaller streets with the good stuff. Google Maps is alright, but sometimes it's better to just keep an eye on your surroundings and use the street signs. They're surprisingly helpful! For street art, wander around the area near the Spree river; there’s a lot clustered around there. Also, check out Auguststraße – it's packed with it. Don't be afraid to get a little lost in those smaller side streets, though – that's where you find the real hidden gems (I know you said no hidden gems, but shhh). Just keep a general sense of direction, and you'll be fine. Have fun!

Oh man, the Berliner Bürgeramt. I feel your pain. It's less a government office and more a performance art piece about the absurdity of bureaucracy. My renewal took three attempts, each one punctuated by increasingly exasperated sighs from the staff. I swear, they should sell tickets – “Witness the agonizing slow death of paperwork!” Seriously, though, I ended up needing to get a new passport photo because the one I submitted was apparently "too smiley". Too smiley! I wasn't even that smiley. Good luck, you'll need it. Stock up on coffee and patience. And maybe a small, slightly disgruntled badger for good measure.
