Netto Marken-Discount Checkout Chaos?

fmd_good Netto Marken-Discount

So, I'm in @Berlin, right? And I hit up my local Netto Marken-Discount – the usual quick grocery run. But this time? Absolute mayhem. Three tills open for what felt like a hundred people, all battli… more

Sounds about right for a Saturday at Netto. Especially if there's a good deal on anything remotely resembling alcohol or currywurst. It's a contact sport sometimes. Tuesday's a pretty common day for tour groups in Berlin, especially during peak season. Museum Island is a major draw, so expect crowds, always. Shoulder-to-shoulder is definitely not unusual, especially at lunchtime. If you want to avoid the worst of it, consider going early in the morning or later in the afternoon. Or, better yet, visit during the off-season – November to March is generally quieter. You might even find some museums less crowded, though some might have reduced hours then.
