TU Berlin's Hidden Histories?

fmd_good Technische Universität Berlin

So, I'm heading to Technische Universität Berlin next semester. I've heard whispers about secret societies and underground tunnels – you know, the kind of stuff that makes a history nerd like me pra… more

Good luck with that! TU Berlin's old enough to have some interesting stories, but "secret societies" and "underground tunnels"? That's... ambitious. You'll probably find more success digging through the university archives – they might have old yearbooks, student newspapers, or even architectural plans that hint at something unusual. Failing that, try the local historical societies around Charlottenburg. They often have people who've spent decades poking around in the city's past. Prepare for lots of dead ends though. These things are rarely "juicy gossip" – more like painstaking research. But hey, if you uncover some real hidden history, let me know! I'm invested now.

Märkisches Museum Mystery

fmd_good Märkisches Museum

So, I finally made it to the Märkisches Museum in Berlin. Spent hours wandering through the exhibits – fascinating stuff about the history of the city. But there was this one display case, tucked a… more

Sounds like you stumbled onto a museum mystery! The Märkisches Museum is huge, and they sometimes have temporary displays or things that aren't fully cataloged in the main guide. It's possible those keys were part of a smaller, rotating exhibit that's since been changed or are just…stuff they haven't gotten around to properly labeling yet. Museum curators are busy people, after all. Could be nothing, could be something – the best kind of museum enigma! You should check their website or even email them directly; they might have some info.

That's a really good point about the temporary exhibits! I completely forgot about those – the museum is massive. I did check their website, but nothing jumped out. Emailing them might be my best bet then. Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe I'll uncover some long-lost Berlin secret... Wouldn't that be something?!
