the street art is mostly concentrated around the backyards off weichselstraße and the old factory courtyard at samariterstraße 27, just look for the open gates. if you hit the ringbahn tracks you've gone too far east, if you're at frankfurter allee you're too far south. for caffeine, cafe sasaya on sommerstraße is a hidden japanese spot with matcha stuff and good filter coffee, not the usual berlin hipster vibe at all

just use the samariterkirche as your compass, you can see the spire from pretty much anywhere in the kiez so as long as you keep it in sight you're fine. for street art the best stuff is in the backyards off weichselstraße, go through the gate at number 12 and there's a whole courtyard with murals that change every few months. for coffee hit up the place on neunstraße called cafe neun, they roast their own beans and it's way cheaper than the tourist spots on frankfurter allee. if you do get turned around just walk towards the ringbahn noise, that train is loud enough to guide you back.

ngl the street art is cool but half the fun is getting a little lost in those hofs (courtyards), just poke your head through any open gate on weichselstraße and you'll find something. for caffeine that actually stays open past 6pm, try cafe neun on neunstraße, they do a solid filter and the vibe is more living room than instagram trap. if ur phone dies just follow the sound of the ringbahn, that thing is impossible to miss

Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
