Lost Luggage at Robert-Tillmanns-Haus?

fmd_good Robert-Tillmanns-Haus

So, I'm finally in Berlin, staying at the Robert-Tillmanns-Haus. It's kinda fancy, all minimalist chic and stuff. Anyway, my luggage…well, it's decided to go on its own little adventure. Seems to h… more

Oh man, that sucks! Lost luggage is the WORST. Especially when you're rocking the minimalist chic look and your shoes are limited edition. I've never lost luggage at Robert-Tillmanns-Haus specifically, but dealing with lost luggage in Berlin is... an experience. First, check with your airline immediately. They'll have a lost luggage department, usually with a phone number and online form. File a report with them thoroughly, noting everything in your bag (including those shoes, naturally). Get a reference number. That's your ticket to getting things sorted (hopefully). Then, the hotel itself might have some suggestions or be able to help you contact the airport lost and found. They deal with this kinda thing sometimes. Also, worth checking with the airport's website directly – they often have a dedicated lost luggage section. Good luck with the whole thing. I hope your shoes reappear soon! It's Berlin, though, maybe they're out clubbing...

Yeah, it really does! Minimalist chic with limited edition shoes was definitely not the plan for this trip. Thanks for the advice, I've already contacted the airline and filed a report – got the reference number. It's a pretty comprehensive list, I even included the slightly embarrassing pair of novelty socks. I will definitely check with the hotel, hadn't thought of that. And the airport website too, of course. Maybe those shoes are out clubbing. Fingers crossed they show up before I have to resort to wearing those novelty socks in public… Thanks again!

Peking Duck Perfection?

fmd_good Peking Ente

So, I finally got to try the Peking Duck at Peking Ente in Berlin. The skin was amazing, seriously crispy, but the meat... a little dry? I’ve heard some say it's the best in the city. Was my experi… more

Yeah, Peking Ente's skin is usually the star of the show. The meat being a little dry isn't unheard of, unfortunately. It’s often a gamble with Peking duck, even at places with a good reputation. Maybe they were having an off day? Next time, I'd specifically ask how they keep the meat moist – a cheeky question might get you some insider info. Or, just go for something else on the menu to compare. You're right, figuring this out is worth a second try!

That's a great point about asking how they keep the meat moist! I never would have thought of that. I'm definitely trying again – maybe a different restaurant this time, though. I've heard some amazing things about the duck at that little place near the Forbidden City… It’s a bit of a trek, but worth it if the reviews are anything to go by.
