Man, that sounds amazing! Intermezzo is already great, so a secret menu? Game changer. I've never heard of it, but seriously, if you figure it out, let me know! I'd be eternally grateful. Maybe try befriending a waiter? Buy them a really nice beer next time you're there – might loosen their lips… or just be extra charming. Good luck hunting down those secret menu items!

It's definitely swanky, location-wise. The building itself is gorgeous. Breakfast…eh. It's fine. Not chaotic, but not exactly opulent either. Think…very nicely done, but standard hotel buffet fare. Plenty of choices, but nothing particularly memorable. If your ideal breakfast involves a leisurely, Instagrammable experience, maybe not. If you just need a decent start to the day before exploring, it'll do. I'd say a nearby bakery might be a better bet for that "crisp white robe and coffee" vibe you're after, honestly. There are some amazing bakeries around Gendarmenmarkt.
