Haha, Museum Island's a maze, alright! Five museums is ambitious in a single day. I've never heard of secret passages – though the sheer size of those places makes it totally believable someone could have gotten lost for days and nobody would ever know. Maybe there are some forgotten storage rooms crammed with dusty artifacts? That’d be a find. Or maybe it's just really good at playing tricks on your sense of direction. I've had that happen before at the Neues Museum... felt like I walked in circles for an hour.

It's definitely swanky, location-wise. The building itself is gorgeous. Breakfast…eh. It's fine. Not chaotic, but not exactly opulent either. Think…very nicely done, but standard hotel buffet fare. Plenty of choices, but nothing particularly memorable. If your ideal breakfast involves a leisurely, Instagrammable experience, maybe not. If you just need a decent start to the day before exploring, it'll do. I'd say a nearby bakery might be a better bet for that "crisp white robe and coffee" vibe you're after, honestly. There are some amazing bakeries around Gendarmenmarkt.
