That's actually really helpful, thanks! The currywurst analogy is perfect – I hadn’t thought of it that way. I’ll definitely try the “nosy and observant” approach around those older buildings. Maybe I'll even try to find some old yearbooks or something – see if anything unusual pops up. Fingers crossed I don't stumble onto anything too interesting… I'll let you know what I find out.
