Go Asia Mystery

fmd_good Go Asia

So I'm heading to Go Asia this week to stock up on some ingredients for a Thai green curry – the one with the crazy amount of chilies. I've heard from a friend that they sometimes get these super rar… more

Go Asia's a bit of a crapshoot with that stuff, honestly. They're pretty unpredictable. Best bet is to call them directly – maybe even a few times leading up to your trip. Explain your quest for the legendary mangoes; they might appreciate the enthusiasm. Seriously, it's like hunting a unicorn, good luck! July in @Berlin can be pretty buggy, yeah. Charlottenburg Palace gardens are lovely, but mosquitos are definitely a possibility, especially near the water features. I wouldn't say it's unbearable, but be prepared. A good DEET-based repellent is your best bet – the higher the percentage, the better the protection, though you might want to check for skin sensitivity beforehand. Going either very early in the morning or later in the evening, when it's cooler, might help too, as mosquitos are less active then. Long sleeves and pants could also be a good idea, even if it's a bit warm. Don't forget to check your skin regularly, just in case. Have a great time exploring the palace!
