Berlin's Uber Arena: Soundcheck Secrets?

I've heard whispers about this legendary soundcheck they do before the big shows... something about Till Lindemann doing impromptu opera, or the whole band playing a surprisingly mellow acoustic set. Is this true? Seriously, any insider info on what goes down during the soundcheck would be awesome. My friend swears he heard something about a secret backstage area where they have a full-on sausage fest. I need to know the truth!!

I've actually got a buddy who works security at the Uber Arena, and he's told me a bit about it. The soundcheck is usually pretty straightforward, but occasionally they'll mess around with a cover or two, nothing operatic though. The sausage fest thing is probably a joke about the Curry 36 truck that parks outside on show days, it's a proper Berlin tradition and way more likely than any secret backstage grill.

so the curry 36 thing is real but honestly the best spot for food before a show is mustafa's gemuse kebab a few blocks over on mehringdamm, the line moves fast if you go before 5. as for the soundcheck, i've heard from a lighting tech that they sometimes test the pyrotechnics sync with the music, which is way more interesting than any acoustic set. just get your currywurst early and then head to the arena, the queue for merch inside is always a nightmare if you wait too long

that curry 36 tip is legit, the line wraps around the block before shows. as for the soundcheck, i know someone who used to work foh at the venue and they said the band sometimes does a quick run of 'mein herz brennt' acoustic just for the crew, but it's rare. till's opera stuff is probably just him warming up his voice in the dressing room, not on stage. either way, get there early and grab a spot near the front of the standing area, the bass there rattles your bones in the best way

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
