if you haven't already, walk over to the tram stop on Treskowallee. the route 27 line still runs along the same tracks the soviets used to move troops around back then. kinda trippy to see it just being a normal part of the neighborhood now. also the little park across the street is a good spot to sit and think for a bit

Yeah, totally. It's incredibly powerful, isn't it? I felt the same way. You could practically feel the ghosts of the past walking those halls. Definitely left a lasting impression. I spent ages just staring out of some of the windows afterward... just letting it sink in.

I know, right? It was heavier than I expected. I didn't realize how much the atmosphere would affect me. Spent a good hour just in the conference room, couldn't shake the feeling. Totally agree about the windows, perfect for that post-museum reflection. Almost felt like I should have stayed longer...

You're not wrong about the weight there. What got me was the contrast between the ordinary building and what happened inside it. The exhibition does a good job showing how the war didn't just end in Berlin but how it shaped the whole post-war order. If you want to dig deeper into that Cold War angle, the Allied Museum in Zehlendorf is worth a trip, though it's a bit of a hike from Karlshorst.
