Kotobuki-Sushi, eh? Crazy expensive, right?Best Roll?

I'm visiting @Berlin next week and Kotobuki-Sushi is on my list. Heard it's the best sushi in town... but with prices like that, I gotta know: what's the single best roll they do? I'm thinking about splurging, but I'm not dropping serious coin on something mediocre. Worth it? Let me know before I go broke trying to find out.

the spicy tuna roll is actually slept on here, not the flashy one but the execution is flawless. they use real toro for it not the scrap meat places usually do. pair it with a side of the edamame which is surprisingly good for a high-end spot. just go at opening or right after lunch rush, it gets packed and the service slows down when they're slammed

ngl the uni gunkan maki is the sleeper hit nobody talks about. they get sea urchin from hokkaido and it's so creamy it barely holds together in the nori. 22 euro for two pieces which sounds insane but it's legit better than some omakase spots in tokyo i've been to. if you're already planning to blow cash, that's the thing that'll actually surprise you

honestly the salmon avocado roll is where it's at. it's like 16 euro but they use actual fatty norwegian salmon, not the sad farmed stuff you get at most places. the rice is perfectly seasoned too, slightly warm with just enough vinegar. if you want something that shows off their technique without the crazy markup, that's it

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
