Soho House Berlin - Rooftop Bar Views?

if you want the same view without the membership gatekeeping, sneak into the soho house gym on the 10th floor around 6pm on a weekday. same floor to ceiling windows, same skyline, but it's dead quiet and nobody bothers you if you just look like you're waiting for someone. the bar's fine but honestly the real berlin view is from the top of the park inn hotel at alexanderplatz, it rotates so you get the whole city in 30 minutes and it's like 8 euros for a coffee

The view is great but the real magic is that it's one of the few spots where you can actually see the TV Tower, the Fernsehturm, and the old Gedächtniskirche ruin in the same glance. That contrast is pure Berlin. If you want a less crowded alternative with a similar angle, try the Monkey Bar on the 10th floor of the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin. It's a bit cheaper and the zoo is right below you, so you get giraffes in your photos instead of just rooftops.

honestly the view is good but the real flex is the lighting up there. the golden hour hits different because of how the glass reflects everything, makes your photos look way more cinematic than just a standard panorama. cocktails are like 16-18 euros last I checked, which is steep but they don't skimp on the alcohol so it's not a total rip off. just a heads up, the dress code is kinda strict no sneakers or ripped jeans, saw a guy get turned away last summer

Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
