Best spot for a picnic blanket?
Tiergarten is massive, you're right. Finding a quiet spot can be tricky, especially on a sunny weekend. Head towards the southwest corner, near the Neuer See lake. It's usually less packed than the central areas. The deer are generally pretty chill, but keep your distance and definitely don't feed them. They're used to people, but startled deer are not fun. There are some lovely little wooded areas around the lake, perfect for a secluded picnic. Just be aware of the geese, they can be... assertive.

imo the best bet is the area around the löwenbrücke, that little iron bridge over the landwehrkanal. it's a bit hidden cause you gotta go off the main gravel paths but the grass there is softer and way fewer people. deer will prob glance at you and keep grazing, it's the squirrels that'll try to steal your stuff if you leave it unattended. wind can be a thing near the water but if you tuck behind the bushes it's real still. also the ice cream cart near the carillon is overpriced, skip it and grab something from the edeka at s bahn tiergarten instead
ngl the deer are fine, just dont try to pet them or anything. they'll walk right past you if ur quiet. for quiet spots, skip the main paths and head toward the english garden area on the east side, near the little canal. way less foot traffic than the lake. also the geese are pushy but they usually leave u alone if u dont have food visible
