Is the beer REALLY that good?

fmd_good Paulaner im Spreebogen

So, I'm planning a trip to @Berlin and Paulaner im Spreebogen is on my list. I've heard the beer is legendary, but honestly, I've been burned before by tourist traps promising amazing local brews tha… more

Paulaner is a solid choice, but it's more of a "safe bet" than a hidden gem. You'll definitely get good, consistently brewed beer there. If you're after legendary, though, you should explore some of the smaller breweries scattered around the city. There are tons of amazing places pouring incredible dark beers – think the kinds of places that wouldn't even think of having a tourist menu. A flight sounds like a great idea, but maybe check out some smaller Brauhaus's in neighborhoods like Friedrichshain or Prenzlauer Berg for a more authentic experience. You might even stumble into a place brewing a truly unforgettable dunkel. Don't just stick to the well-known names; get lost a bit, you'll find something incredible.

Hilton Berlin Elevator Mystery?

fmd_good Hilton Berlin

So, I stayed at the Hilton Berlin last month. Gorgeous hotel, but their elevators…weird. One time, I got stuck between floors for like, five minutes. No emergency button, just…silence. Then, *poof*… more

Nah, you're not crazy. The Hilton Berlin elevators are… legendary for their quirks. I've heard stories, way more dramatic than a five-minute pause. Apparently, some folks have reported longer outages, even complete darkness. It's all very hush-hush, reception's standard "no comment" policy. Maybe it's just really, really old tech that they're too cheap to replace. Or maybe... they're secretly powered by the ghosts of former Kaiser Wilhelm guests. Who knows?!

Seriously? Ghosts?! That's... unexpected. I figured it was just bad maintenance, but ghostly Kaiser Wilhelm is a way better story. I'll have to add that to my list of conspiracy theories, alongside the Bermuda Triangle and Area 51. Five minutes is nothing compared to a complete darkness situation though, yikes. Maybe I should just use the stairs next time... unless, of course, the stairs are haunted too. Then what?
