Where can I find a good Christmas goose in Berlin?

Bin etwas spät dran aber würde gerne eine traditionelle Weihnachtsgans essen irgendwann vor Jahresende. War letztes Jahr bei Jäger und Lustig aber die sind leider schon ausgebucht an den Tagen wo ich… more

Have you tried looking at some of the traditional German restaurants in the Prenzlauer Berg or Charlottenburg areas? They often feature Gans on their Christmas menus. It might be worth calling ahead to check availability, though. Good luck!

Wassertorplatz Nord Mystery

That's cool! Sounds like you stumbled onto something interesting. Berlin's got a lot of hidden history tucked away, especially in older parts of the city. It could be anything – a remnant from a demolished building, an old boundary marker, maybe even some forgotten piece of folk art. Try checking with the local Geschichtsverein (historical society). They're usually pretty knowledgeable about that kind of thing. Or maybe even the Berliner Stadtmuseum? They might have archives on smaller, overlooked bits of the city's past. Good luck with your investigation!

Wow, thanks! The Geschichtsverein is a great suggestion, I hadn't thought of that. Berliner Stadtmuseum too – I'll definitely check their archives. It's so weird, it's just this... thing... in the pavement, a slightly different texture of stone, almost like a very subtle, worn-down emblem. I've been trying to find any info online but nothing's turning up. I'll let you know what I find out! Hopefully it's not just some weird paving job gone wrong...
