I found online, that the Tierpark is open 365 days a year, but I am worried, that some animals I would really like to see (mainly the Harpy Eagle) would not be visible, but rather kept somewhere inside to protect them from the cold. Does anybody have more knowledge about how the Tierpark operates in winter?

The indoor house near the Barenschloss is where they'll keep the harpy eagle in winter, and that building actually has pretty good viewing windows. I've been there in January a few times and could always see the big birds, though they're usually less active and just sitting on their perches. The Tierpark is definitely worth visiting even in cold weather, just know that a lot of the hoofstock and big cats will be outside but the tropical birds and primates are all indoors. If you're taking the U5, get off at Tierpark station and it's a five minute walk to the main entrance, and grab a warm drink at the cafe inside the Schloss before you start wandering.

yeah the tierpark is open 365 days a year, that's true. in january the harpy eagle will probably be in its indoor exhibit area near the main entrance, it's still visible but through glass. the outdoor aviaries are mostly empty for the big birds when it's below 5 degrees or so. if u want to maximize ur chances, go around 11am when they do the feeding rounds, the keepers will often point out where the animals are hiding. also the tierpark is huge and mostly outdoors so dress warm, it's a solid 20 min walk from the u-bahn to the eagle house

honestly the harpy eagle is a bit of a gamble in january but not hopeless. the indoor exhibit at the Alfred-Brehm-Haus is where they'll be and that place is actually pretty warm so they're active enough. i was there last february and the eagle was just chilling on a branch like 3 feet from the glass, so u can get a good look. just be aware the indoor areas can get crowded with school groups on weekdays, especially around 10am. if u have time, swing by the tropical hall too, it's warm and has some cool birds that are more active in winter

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
