American flag pin?

Hi guys! Anywhere I can buy an American flag pin? We don't have that many American places in town so I'm not quite sure where I could look. Thanks in advance for any tips! Hi guys! honestly check the flea markets - Mauerpark on sundays has a bunch of vendors selling random pins and patches, I've seen american flags there a few times. also the army surplus store near Warschauer Straße might have something, they stock a lot of military-style patches and pins. if you're in a hurry just hit up any of the little shops around Hackescher Markt, they're touristy but they usually have flag pins mixed in with the keychains

I'd check out the souvenir shops around Alexanderplatz or Checkpoint Charlie, they usually carry flag pins from a bunch of countries. There's a shop called Berliner Souvenir on Friedrichstraße that has a decent selection of small pins and patches. You could also try the American Church in Berlin if you're near Zehlendorf, they sometimes have small items like that for sale.

tbh the easiest spot is probably any of those little spätis near the touristy bits, especially around Brandenburger Tor. they stock all sorts of random souvenir stuff and I've def seen american flag pins mixed in with the fridge magnets. also there's a place called Kauf Dich Glücklich near Rosenthaler Platz that sells weird accessories and patches, they might have one. worst case check the airport gift shops if you're passing through.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
