Is there a way to anonymously report to BVG for racist behaviour?

It wasn't directed to me but to another passenger. The bus driver yelled at him randomly, because he was having a phone call with a child on the bus (probably his son or daughter) and he was speaking in a foreign language (sounded like arabic, but I am not sure). The driver was really aggressive towards this passenger and told him to shut up, and I felt unsafe.

Is there anything I can do to report /whistleblow this behaviour to bvg? I saw there is a "complaint" form on their website but I don't want to put my contact information out there, if possible.

yeah bvg has that online form but you can also just call their customer service hotline at 030 19449, they take anonymous reports over the phone too. the driver's badge number should be displayed somewhere near the front of the bus, if you caught that it helps a lot. i'd mention the bus line, route number, time and direction so they can actually check the footage from the cameras onboard

tbh the online form works fine without your info if you just leave those fields blank, i've done it before and they still processed it. just make sure to include the exact bus line, time, and stop where it happened so they can pull the video footage. also worth noting that BVG has a "sozialer Dienst" team that deals with discrimination stuff specifically, you can mention that in your report and they'll flag it internally

You can also report it through the BVG app under "Service" and then "Feedback" - there's an option to send it without signing in. They take complaints seriously when you include the bus number (usually a four-digit code on the front and back), the exact time, and the stop name. If you remember which stop the driver got aggressive at, that helps them pinpoint the camera footage faster.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
