honestly they'll probably still be scattered around but not in the numbers you see in summer. the companies (lime, tier, voi) don't fully pull them until it gets properly cold, like november. october 22nd you'll find some but expect fewer near the tourist spots and more near u-bahn stations. bvg app is actually pretty good for a backup plan, single tickets are like 3.50 euro and run late enough

If you're sticking to the ringbahn area you'll prob find a few scooters near the s-bahn stations on the 22nd, but be warned they're often dead or have shitty brakes by that time of year. The companies don't bother restocking them as much once the weather turns. If you're going somewhere like Zimmer or a more residential spot, you might have to walk a bit to find one that actually works. BVG is solid though, the U-Bahn runs all night on weekends and a day pass is like 9 euro, way cheaper than a string of 1 euro unlocks that add up fast.

You'll definitely find scooters around on October 22nd, the companies don't pull them until it's consistently below freezing. Lime and Tier are the most common, just check the apps before you head out since the scooters get clustered in certain neighborhoods. If you're landing at a major station like Hauptbahnhof or Ostkreuz, there's usually a cluster right outside. The BVG app covers U-Bahn and buses too if you change your mind, a single ride is 3.50 euro and runs until 1am on weeknights.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
