Berlin Inline Skating Marathon - Best Viewing Spots?

I'm visiting Berlin with the primary purpose of taking pictures of my partner doing the inline skating marathon.
The looping for me sounded ideal, since I get more chances to hopefully get a decent picture, but I'm struggling with finding an appropriate viewing spot. Ideally I want something slightly elevated from the track, with a view of both directions of the road.
I tried looking on google maps for maybe cafes or bars that would be on the second floor or similar, but couldn't find anything. So far my best (and not brightest) idea is to stand on a concrete fence at a ubahn entrance.
Any other spectators with any good viewing spot ideas?

check the corner of kleistpark where the route turns onto potsdamer strasse, there's a slight rise on the pedestrian island that gives u a decent angle looking down both ways. it's not super high but you can see them coming from far off and then again as they loop back around the bend. the ubahn station there has a little balcony thing too if you want a few steps up, just watch for the crowds cause it fills up fast
The best spot I've found for photos is on the bridge at Schloßstraße crossing the course near the Rathaus Steglitz stop. You get a clear view of skaters coming toward you and then passing underneath, plus the U-Bahn tracks in the background add some nice framing. It gets crowded but people are usually polite about letting photographers have a bit of space.
If you want something indoor with coffee, the second floor of the Forum Steglitz mall has windows that look right over the route, but you'll be shooting through glass. The glass is pretty clean most days and you can grab a table at the cafe up there without any hassle.
honestly the best spot i found was on the friedrichstraße bridge near the bahnhof, you can lean over the railing and get a perfect top-down view of skaters coming through the arch plus the s-bahn in the background. just get there early cause it fills up fast with other photographers
i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.
The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.
One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
