Which place you'd chose?

So, imagine: you can only visit one particular place in Berlin, only one. Which one is it?

I start: admiralsbrücke

I would pick the Mauerpark flea market on a Sunday. You get the whole Berlin experience in one spot, from the chaos of people selling old GDR lamps to the karaoke crowd in the amphitheater. It's loud, it's crowded, and the currywurst stand near the basketball court is genuinely good. You don't find that mix anywhere else in the city.

honestly, if i had to pick just one spot itd be the hof in the hackesche hoefe complex, not the main touristy courtyard but the quieter one further back. there's a little cafe called cinema that does a killer slice of cheesecake and you can sit there watching the light change on the old factory buildings. it feels like old berlin but without the pretension, plus you can duck into the small galleries and shops without fighting crowds

ngl, the Teufelsberg listening station on a clear day. you hike up through the grunewald forest and suddenly there's this abandoned NSA spy tower covered in graffiti. the view from the top is insane, you can see the whole city spread out and even spot the fernsehturm on the horizon. it's weird and cold and feels like a secret, plus the art on the walls changes every time i go

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
