Dann hat Amazon letztes Jahr einen neuen Rekord mit über 140m gesetzt.
Es befinden sich 3 Hochhäuser im Bau, die noch höher sind, das Höchste 170m und 2 Häuser, die nach dem Amazon-Tower im Ranking stehen werden.
Zum Vergleich: In Frankfurt werden gerade nur 3 Häuser gebaut, die höher als 100m sind.
Außerdem ist ein Hochhaus am Platz des Europa-Centers geplant. Dieses wäre mit 300m noch höher als der Millenium-Tower, der in Frankfurt geplant ist und das höchste Gebäude in der EU.

Ich würde es schade finden, wenn Frankfurt bald nicht mehr einzigartig wäre von den hohen Gebäuden her. Aber Berlin braucht dringend mehr Platz. Was meint ihr? Wenn ihr nicht in Berlin wohnt, wäre es nett, wenn ihr es dazu schreibt, da man als Bewohner nochmal andere Meinungen hat.
Ich wohne seit 15 Jahren in Berlin und finde die Diskussion etwas seltsam. Berlin wird nie eine Skyline wie Frankfurt haben, dafuer ist die Stadt zu weitlaeufig und der Flughafen Tegel war ja nicht der einzige Grund fuer die Bauhoehenbeschraenkung. Die paar Hochhaeuser am Alex und Zoo aendern nichts daran, dass man hier immer noch ueber die Dae cher der Altbauten guckt. Und ehrlich gesagt, der Amazon-Turm am Gleisdreieck ist ziemlich unspektakulaer, den sieht man von weitem kaum.
also wichtig: die 300m am Zoo sind so utopisch wie die ganzen anderen mega-projekte die hier alle 10 jahre auftauchen. der senat hat nichtmal bock das alex-hochhaus durchzuboxen und das ist seit 20 jahren im gespräch
was mich eher nervt ist dass die neuen türme immer so scheiße in die stadt passen. der amazon-tower am gleisdreieck steht da wie ein fremdkörper, während der treptower park da drüben komplett zugebaut wird mit diesen 0815-büroklötzen. die berliner skyline wird nie wie frankfurt aussehen aber sie könnte wenigstens durchdachter sein
honestly i think berlin will always feel more horizontal than frankfurt, even with those new towers. the city is just too spread out and the whole planning culture here is different, they're not gonna build a dense cluster like the mainhattan thing

yeah the guide's got the main stuff down, one thing i'd add is that the späti culture is legit for saving money but specifically the ones in kreuzberg near kottbusser tor have the cheapest beers, like 0.80 eur for a can of sterni. also if you're doing the sunday museum thing, skip the pergamon queue and go to the hamburger bahnhof instead, it's way less crowded and has cool contemporary art plus the building itself is a converted train station so it's a vibe
for food, i'd say the best budget move is not the döner but the falafel at yafa on sonnenallee, 4 eur for a massive plate and it's open till late. and tbh the reichstag booking is a pain but if you miss it, the rooftop at the kollhoff tower near potsdamer platz is like 4 eur and gives you a solid view without the hassle
solid write-up, one thing i'd add is that the 7-day ticket is actually 41 eur for AB but you can get a 4-trip ticket for 12 eur if you're only here a couple days and it works out cheaper than single trips. also the museum sunday freebie is great but it gets packed, like at the pergamon you'll be queuing for 30 mins minimum. for a quieter free option, try the brücke museum in grunewald on a weekday afternoon, it's small but has killer expressionist art and no crowds. oh and for a cheap meal, hit up mustafa's gemüse kebab at mehringdamm, that line is long but it's worth the 5 eur for the hype tbh
