fwiw there's a really good one at the Alte Försterei in Grunewald, it's a forest conservation group that meets every sunday from 10am to 1pm. they clear invasive plants and maintain trails, it's chill and you don't need any gear just wear sturdy shoes. U-Bahn to Krumme Lanke and then it's a 10 min walk through the woods, feels miles away from the city center tbh
honestly you could check out the Stadtmission at Lehrter Straße, they run a weekend breakfast service for homeless folks on saturdays and sundays from 8am to 11am. no need to commit long term just show up at 7:45 and they'll put you to work handing out coffee or bread. also the Volkspark Friedrichshain has a community garden group that meets sunday afternoons to plant stuff and clean up, they're on instagram as freunde_des_volksparks. both are pretty central so u can walk there from alexanderplatz in like 15 mins
