Is there still a build a bear in Berlin?

I'm visiting in October with my sister and she has always wated to go to build a bear. I tried to look it up but i'm not sure is it still open. If it's not open, is there something similar… I'm visiting in October with my sister and she has always wated to go to build a bear. I tried to look it up but i'm not sure is it still open. i think the alexa one shut down a few years back honestly. if ur sister just wants the stuffing experience, there's also the "teddybär total" store in the kaDeWe, they do a similar make-your-own thing but it's a bit fancier and pricier. otherwise the zoo has a huge plushie shop near the elephant gate, not custom but tons of cute options. maybe check if the "mydorable" popup is still around, they used to do seasonal diy bear events near hackescher markt, but that's hit or miss in october

fwiw the whole make-your-own thing is pretty much gone in berlin now, but if she just wants the stuffed animal moment there's a spot in the hackescher markt area called "teddybärland" that does it, though it's very kid-heavy. honestly the more fun memory might be hitting the steiff flagship on kurfürstendamm, they have the classic berlin bear plush and it's a nicer vibe for a grown-up visit. if she's flexible, check the "mydorable" popup near hackescher markt, but that's seasonal so october could be a coin flip.

yeah the alexa one is gone, that's true. if she's more into the vibe than the brand, there's a place called "knopf & kugel" near rosa-luxemburg-platz, they do diy plush workshops too but it's a bit more chill and less kids-focused. also honestly the steiff one on kudamm is worth a stop even just to look, they have that classic berlin bear mascot sometimes

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
