Moving out and selling my things - are payments in cash via Fedex a thing?

And the furniture will also be picked up by FedEx.

I call BS but I haven't done this before so I'm not sure if this is a normal way to pay for secondhand things?

Should I only take payments via Paypal? Bank transfer? Something else?

I checked their profiles and they're as empty as mine (I try to avoid social media) so its not always a good way to judge legit users...

yeah that's a scam, 100%. fedex doesn't do cash-on-delivery for private sales like this, and no legit buyer would arrange their own pickup with a courier for a used couch or fridge. they'll probably send u a fake payment confirmation or overpay and ask u to wire the difference to the "driver"

stick to cash in hand when they come pick it up, or PayPal friends & family if you're comfortable. bank transfer is fine too but takes a day or two to clear. Kleinanzeigen's own "sicher bezahlen" system is okay but i haven't used it much. just don't send anything until the money is actually in your account, not just a screenshot of a "pending" payment

nah this is 100% a scam. fedex doesn't do cash on delivery for private sales here in berlin, and no random buyer is gonna arrange a fedex pickup for a used couch. they'll prob send u a fake email from "fedex" saying they've paid and the driver will pick it up later, then ask u to pay a "processing fee" or something

stick to cash in hand when they come get it, or ueberweisung if u want to wait a day for it to clear. paypal friends & family is fine too but some people get weird about it. don't fall for the "i'll pay extra for the courier" thing either, that's the oldest trick

kleinanzeigen has a "sicher bezahlen" option now but i've never used it. honestly just meet them at your place or a späti nearby with cash, that's how most people do it here

100% a scam, never heard of fedex doing cash on delivery for private stuff in berlin. they'll probably send you a fake tracking link or ask for a "deposit" to release the payment. just do cash when they pick it up or Überweisung if you can wait a day

Best tattoo artist in town?

i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.

The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
