What clubs are good for a Sunday night?

Looking for something that's not too heavily techno but open to any suggestions. Advice on dress codes etc. appreciated too.

First time in Berlin, group of 7 people. Thanks!

if you're a big group try sisyphos, it's huge so you won't feel cramped plus they have outdoor areas which is nice. dress code is just casual dark clothes, no big logos or anything. they play house and tech house mostly on sundays so not heavy techno

honestly for a sunday night in berlin with a group that size you're better off avoiding the big tourist spots like berghain or kitkat anyway. check out about blank if you want something with a bit more variety in music, they do house and disco stuff too not just hard techno. dress code is pretty chill just no suits or anything too flashy, dark casual is fine. u should also know that sunday nights bleed into monday morning so expect places to be open til 10am or later, pace yourselves

for 7 people on a sunday i'd say go to ://about blank in friedrichshain, it's got that warehouse vibe without being too intense. music leans more house and disco on sundays, not the nonstop 140bpm stuff. dress code is just dark and casual, no clubby outfits or sneakers with bright colors. one thing nobody mentions is that the bouncers there are pretty chill if you're friendly and not wasted, just say hi and have your id ready. also factor in the crowd, it's a local spot so you won't feel like tourists on a checklist

Best tattoo artist in town?

arrow_drop_up 67 arrow_drop_down

i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.

The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
