Is the a way to see where they shipped the remaining merchandise? I doubt anyone has bought it in the last two weeks, as it has been sitting untouched all summer. I would appreciate any help or advice how can I track it down. I really want that damned bracelet 😭

honestly, the store closing caught everyone off guard. they shuttered the whole Friedrichstraße location for good, not just a renovation. the stock usually gets split between their online outlet and the other Galeries Lafayette in the city, but that one's also been shrinking. your best bet is to check their official site's clearance section, sometimes they dump unsold pieces there with a big markdown. if it's not online, try calling the customer service line, they can sometimes locate an item in their central warehouse. but tbh, for a specific bracelet like that, you might have better luck hunting it on secondhand platforms like Vinted or rebelle, people flip deadstock from store closures all the time. good luck, hope you find it.

The Friedrichstraße closure was abrupt, but the liquidation process actually went through a third-party logistics company, not directly to their online shop. A lot of the unsold jewelry got bundled into lots and sold to discounters, so check places like Zalando Lounge or even the outlet at Berlin Outlet City in Biesdorf. That's a bit out of the way, but they regularly get department store leftovers, and Vivienne Westwood pieces do pop up there. If you're set on the exact bracelet, also try calling the brand's own customer service, they sometimes track down pieces from their German wholesale accounts.

ngl the other replies covered the basics but one thing people forget is Galeries Lafayette had a pop-up shop in the Bikini Berlin mall for a while, they might have shifted pieces there before fully closing. also worth stalking the Vivienne Westwood store on Kurfürstendamm, they sometimes take in unsold stock from department stores in the city. if that fails, set a search alert on rebelle, that bracelet will show up eventually, someone's gonna flip it.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
