Would you suggest I move near:

1- 7 mins from Nöldnerplatz

2- Europacity 10 mins walk from Central Station

3- 4 mins south from Julius-Leber-Brücke

The only downside for 1 & 3 is that the closest grocery shop is a minimum 12 mins walking which I know is not much for others but I prefer it to be closer

ngl i'd pick none of those for what you're describing. the grocery store thing is a legit pain, you'll get annoyed fast. have you looked around boxhagener platz instead? it's close to the vibe you like in kreuzberg but a bit more chilled for brunch spots, and there's like 3 supermarkets right there. the tram takes you to warschauer in like 5 mins too

tbh europacity is the worst option for you, it's all office buildings and chain restaurants, feels like a business park. if you like kreuzberg and prenzlberg you'd hate it there.

nöldnerplatz is actually not bad for getting to those areas, the ringbahn gets you to warschauer str in like 10 mins. but yeah that grocery store gap is annoying, especially in winter. have you checked the area around samariterstr? it's right between the two vibes you like, lots of cafes on sonntagstr and there's a rewe like 2 mins from the u-bahn.

honestly if you like kiez vibes and cafe culture, neither of those are great. nöldnerplatz is fine but not really where you'd hang out, it's more residential. jullius-leber-brücke is kinda dead for brunch spots. europacity is convenient but soulless for what you want. id look closer to weserstraße or maybe near schönhauser allee if prenzlberg is ur vibe

Best tattoo artist in town?

arrow_drop_up 67 arrow_drop_down

i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.

The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
