Can confirm. Took the HBX from Berlin to Wernigerode a few weeks ago with my Deutschlandticket – no issues. Just remember to have it ready for inspection. The Harz region is gorgeous, especially in the autumn. Have a great trip!

Yeah, I did that trip last month. Deutschlandticket worked perfectly on the HBX from Berlin to Quedlinburg. No problems whatsoever. Just make sure you validate your ticket before boarding, as always. Enjoy the Harz!

Nah, you're not alone. The Hilton Berlin elevators are...legendary. I've heard whispers, mostly from night shift staff, about some seriously wonky stuff going on with those things. Apparently, there's some old, never-updated control system, something about a "ghost floor" that pops up randomly. Probably just a really, really bad maintenance issue, but the whole mirrored doors thing... that's just creepy. Maybe avoid them late at night? Or just use the stairs. Good workout.
