Have any of you been to Tadshikische Teestube (Tajik restaurant) in Mitte?

I was just wondering if any of you went to Tadshikische Teestube, it's a Tajik restaurant in Mitte. I was thinking of going though I'm not really sure what to expect. Any good drinks or meals to recommend? Did you like your time there?

honestly i love that place for the atmosphere more than the food. the plov is solid if you want something hearty, but i'd say go for the mantu dumplings, they're handmade and come with a tangy tomato sauce. the rose syrup lemonade is nice on a hot day, way better than the tea imo. also check out their little shop area near the entrance, they sell dried fruits and spices that make good souvenirs.

I went about a month ago for a birthday dinner. The lamb shashlik was the best thing we ordered, it came off the grill with a good char and was really tender. Their non-alcoholic drinks are more interesting than the alcoholic ones, the pomegranate and mint drink is refreshing and not too sweet. The service was a bit slow since it seemed like only one person was running the floor, but the staff was friendly about it.

Yeah, I've been a few times. The interior alone is worth the trip, it's like sitting in a painted Uzbeki tea house with all the intricate woodwork. For food, the qurutob is the standout dish, it's a cold bread salad with yogurt and herbs that's surprisingly filling. They have a decent selection of green teas too, but skip the "Tajik champagne" unless you want something sweet and fizzy. It's a cozy spot for a quiet dinner but can get busy on weekends, so booking a table is smart.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
