Hey All,

Would like to know list of places where we can feed birds or animal in berlin without any issue or openly.

the wildgehege at düppeler forst is my go-to, it's in zehlendorf near the wannsee s-bahn. they have a feeding station for fallow deer and wild boar, you can get a bag of approved feed from the machine for like 1 euro. the animals are super used to people and will literally walk up to the fence, just don't reach over. for birds, there's a quiet corner of the botanischer garten where they let you scatter seed near the old greenhouses, just ask at the ticket counter first

You'll want to be careful with this one. Feeding pigeons in public squares like Alexanderplatz or the area around the Brandenburg Gate is technically allowed but you might get annoyed looks from locals. The bigger issue is that Berlin has specific rules about feeding ducks and swans at lakes and ponds, and you can actually get fined for feeding them bread.

Your best bet is to head to one of the city's official animal parks or wildlife enclosures where feeding is encouraged and regulated. Tierpark Berlin has designated feeding stations and you can buy proper food there for the deer and goats. For birds specifically, the Volkspark Friedrichshain has a small pond area where people regularly bring birdseed, just avoid the main paths where the park rangers patrol.

honestly just find a local Kleingarten or community garden, most of them have bird feeders and the gardeners are chill about it. the one near me in Neukolln off Weserstraße has a little table where people leave sunflower seeds and fat balls for the sparrows and tits, no one bothers you. just bring your own unsalted nuts or seeds, bread is a no-go everywhere here. for bigger animals, the Wildpark in Spandau is worth the trip, it's free and you can buy approved feed at the machine for 50 cents, the boars and deer will come sniffing around your pockets.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
