Where can I watch good street skaters?

I see surprisingly few street skaters in the city, do you know any good spots and parks where the "local heroes" ride? I see surprisingly few street skaters in the city, do you know any good spots and parks where the "local heroes" ride?

honestly just hang around the Volkspark Friedrichshain area near the skate bowl, there's usually a crew there later in the day who are pretty good. the bowl itself is kinda small but the street stuff around the edges gets used a lot for manuals and grinds. also check out the spot under the Oberbaumbrücke on the Warschauer side, it's not an official park but people ollie off the ledges there all the time

Mauerpark on a Sunday afternoon usually has a solid crew out by the basketball courts, especially when the flea market is running. The skatepark at Warschauer Brücke under the U-Bahn tracks is another spot where you'll see people actually trying tricks rather than just cruising. If you want the serious locals, head to the Skatehalle Berlin on Revaler Strasse, it's indoor but the regulars there are the ones you'd see out on the street.

if you wander down to the area around Haus Schwarzenberg near Rosenthaler Platz theres a little DIY spot tucked behind it, mostly rails and curbs. the skaters there are less flashy but they're really technical, good to watch if youre into that kind of thing

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
