film cameras at Sunday markets?

I know there's a spot at Mauerpark, any other markets I should check out? I know there's a spot at Mauerpark, any other markets I should check out?

honestly skip the tourist traps and try the flea market at Boxhagener Platz on a Sunday. there's usually a guy near the U-Bahn exit who has a table full of old Minoltas and Canons, nothing fancy but decent working stuff. prices are fair if you haggle a bit, I got a working AE-1 for 40 euro there last summer. just watch out for the lens fungus, some of that gear has been sitting in damp basements for years

Try the Sunday flea market at Straße des 17. Juni near the Tiergarten S-Bahn. It's more of a general antiques fair than a dedicated camera spot, but there are a few regular dealers who bring out Leicas and old German rangefinders. Prices are higher than at Boxhagener or Arkonaplatz, think 80 to 150 euro for a basic working body, but the stuff tends to be cleaner and less likely to have fungus. Go late, around 2 or 3, when the dealers are more willing to negotiate on stuff they don't want to lug home.

not exactly a market but there's a guy who sets up near the old gas station at Tempelhofer Feld on sundays, right by the Oderstrasse entrance. he's got a mix of point-and-shoots and a few SLRs, usually priced under 50 euro. it's more of a side table thing so don't go expecting a full stall, but I've grabbed a working Olympus XA there for 35. just bring cash, he doesn't do cards

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
