Hi! I'm looking to get a Dental Implant for a missing tooth (missing for 3 years). Any recommendations on a good oral surgeon in Berlin?

Since it's a permanent implant, the most important thing is that it is done safely and looks good (cosmetic).

I'm willing to pay a little more for a better cosmetic doctor.

If you have any recommendations from personal experience, please let me know. 🙏🙏🙏

I'd add Dr. Behnam Shakibaie at Aesthetic Dental in Charlottenburg to your list. He's one of the few here who does the full workflow himself, placement plus the crown, so you're not bouncing between an oral surgeon and a prosthodontist who never talk to each other. That coordination matters more than people think for how the final crown blends with your neighbors.

One thing worth knowing on cost: implants aren't covered by gesetzliche Kasse beyond the basic allowance, so expect somewhere in the 1,800 to 2,500 euro range per implant all in. If you have private insurance or a Zusatzversicherung, check whether they cover the implant portion before you book, because the gap widens fast once grafting and the abutment get added.

tbh for cosmetic implant work in Berlin I'd look at Dr. Florian Kistler at Zahnklinik am Ku'damm, he does a lot of anterior cases and takes the soft tissue/gum contour seriously which matters a lot if it's a visible tooth. The thing nobody tells you: after 3 years the bone under that gap has usually shrunk, so you'll prob need a bone graft first and that adds 3-6 months and a few hundred euros before they even place the implant. Ask any surgeon upfront whether they do the grafting themselves or ship you off to someone else, and get a 3D DVT scan before committing, not just a pan x-ray.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
