cheap leather shoes?

any recommendations on places to find cheap-ish second hand leather shoes, (preferably derby's or moto boots) any recommendations on places to find cheap-ish second hand leather shoes, (preferably derby's or moto boots)

there's a spot called no.74 on torstr that sometimes has good derbies mixed in with the rest of their vintage shoes, prices are usually 8-15 euros depending on condition. for moto boots i'd check the flea market at fehrbelliner platz on saturdays, it's smaller and more locals than tourists so you get less competition. there's a guy near the u-bahn exit who sells old workwear and military surplus and i've grabbed solid leather boots for 12 euros from him

honestly for derbies i'd hit up the oxfam on schönhauser allee, they get random donations from older guys who wore decent leather shoes and barely scuffed them. prices are usually 12-18 euros and they keep them on a separate shelf near the register so you don't have to dig through sneakers. for moto boots try the flea market at arkonaplatz on sundays, it's smaller than mauerpark but less picked over and i've grabbed solid biker boots for 10 euros there from a seller who sets up near the playground

humana on frankfurter allee is alright but honestly the selection moves fast, i prefer the one on landsberger allee a bit further east, they have a bigger shoe section and less people picking through it. prices are about the same 10-15 euros and i've found some decent vintage derbies there with good leather that just needed a polish

for moto boots i'd say skip the tourist flea markets and hit up the second hand stores in lichtenberg instead, there's one called sozialkaufhaus on weissenseer weg that gets random donations from old biker types and they price everything at 5 euros flat. found a pair of old german army boots there that cleaned up perfect for riding

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
