I'm looking for a skilled English speaking therapist that has experience with neurodivergent clients. Have googled extensively, wrote everyone that seemed to fit my case, unfortunately without much luck so far(they're all full and no waiting list). Was curious to hear if anyone here knows about therapists/clinics I could contact? Private or public. Doesn't need to be "theautismclinic", a psychotherapist that happens to have experience within the subject is fine. In my case normal cbt isn't very helpful so I'm scouting for other options. It can also be online from somewhere else. Any advice/suggestions welcome. Curious to hear from you and happy if you could share your experience. Thank you :)
ngl this is a tough one in berlin, most nd-affirmative therapists are booked solid. you could try the ivy network, they have some english-speaking therapists who specialize in neurodivergence and take private insurance. also worth checking out the queer therapist collective, a few of them are autistic and do online sessions from outside berlin where waitlists are shorter. for public, praxis mollstraße near senefelderplatz had a therapist taking new patients last i heard but i think it was only for private pay
i know a few people have had luck with the "psychologists in berlin" facebook group, it's more active than you'd think and people post openings there sometimes. also there's a practice near u-bhf schönhauser allee called "praxis am gleimtunnel" that has a couple english-speaking therapists who do depth psychology instead of cbt, one of them specifically lists autism experience on their website. online wise, "betterhelp" is trash for this but "octave health" is a german platform that has therapists who actually understand nd stuff, they do english sessions and take public insurance which is rare
yeah finding nd-aware therapists in berlin is a nightmare, everyone's full. have you looked into the autism competence centers at the charite? they usually have a list of recommended therapists even if they dont do therapy themselves. also, for online options, there's a platform called "minddoc" that lets you filter by neurodivergence experience and english, i found someone through there after a few weeks of checking. if you're open to group stuff, "autismusberatung" in friedrichshain runs a social skills group for adults in english sometimes, they might know individual therapists too.

yeah the guide's got the main stuff down, one thing i'd add is that the späti culture is legit for saving money but specifically the ones in kreuzberg near kottbusser tor have the cheapest beers, like 0.80 eur for a can of sterni. also if you're doing the sunday museum thing, skip the pergamon queue and go to the hamburger bahnhof instead, it's way less crowded and has cool contemporary art plus the building itself is a converted train station so it's a vibe
for food, i'd say the best budget move is not the döner but the falafel at yafa on sonnenallee, 4 eur for a massive plate and it's open till late. and tbh the reichstag booking is a pain but if you miss it, the rooftop at the kollhoff tower near potsdamer platz is like 4 eur and gives you a solid view without the hassle
