Familien mit drei oder mehr Kindern brauchen große Autos?

depends how often ur really hauling all three at once tbh. half the families i see in charlottenburg with three kids just use a big cargo bike for daily stuff and the car sits on the street for weekends. the real pita is finding a parkplatz wide enough to get a kid out without dinging someone's door, that's where the smaller kombi wins over a giant suv every time.

we live in neukölln with three kids and honestly our kombi is fine for most stuff. we park on the street without too much trouble, it's the weekly grocery run that makes me glad we're not on bikes. but i get why people go for the big SUV thing, the parking spots near our kita are tiny and people drive like idiots on the ring.

honestly depends on where in berlin you live. if you're out in marzahn or spandau with no ubahn nearby, a big car makes sense for schlepping kids to sports and school. but living in prenzlberg or kreuzberg with a van is a nightmare, street parking is a joke and those narrow altbau stairwells dont help. i know families with 3 kids who just use a cargo bike and a small rental car from cambio for ikea trips, works fine.
