Any ideas for swapping household items?
PS: I use Kleinenzeigen for this currently but it's too much hassle to post different items and pictures and their details. I'm curious if someone has used their Tauschen category and found good stuff
The Tauschecke at Boxi is solid but gets picked over fast. Another option is the "Berlin Free Your Stuff" group on Telegram, people post what they have to swap or give away and it's way less formal than Kleinanzeigen. You could also try the Neighbourhood Labs app, it's designed for exactly this kind of swapping within your area and has a decent Friedrichshain user base.
honestly the Tauschecke at Boxi is solid advice but another option is the Treptower Park flea market on Sundays, it's a bit further but often has better poster/frame finds because people bring bigger stuff there. for the swap part without the listing headache, try the "Berlin Verschenk und Tausch" group on Facebook, it's messy but you can just post a photo of your pile and say "looking for a big frame" and someone usually replies within a day. kleinanzeigen's Tauschen category is hit or miss imo, half the people never reply or want cash instead
You could check out the Tauschecke at the Boxhagener Platz flea market on Sundays. People just bring stuff and set up little swap piles, no listing or pictures needed. Also there's a "Verschenken und Tauschen" group for Friedrichshain on Facebook that moves pretty fast and skips the whole listing hassle you're describing.
