Where to sit with WiFi and engage (probably loudly) in an online meeting from 10pm to 1am on Monday?

Pretty much the title.

I have to join a 3 hour online meeting between 10pm and 1am on the 10-11th of June for something regarding my life back in Australia that is quite important I can't miss.

I'm staying at a hostel at the moment and I'd rather not pay for some other accomodation, but I will do it if I have to. Preferably something free but I am aware the chances of that are pretty low, so ideally something not too expensive.

Thanks!

St. Oberholz is solid but it can get loud inside even without your meeting, especially on a Monday when people are catching up. If you want to be the loud one without feeling self-conscious, try the upstairs area at Cafe Muggel in Friedrichshain. They don't mind laptop people late and the back room is usually empty after 10pm, so you can talk freely. Just buy a couple of drinks over the three hours and you're fine, maybe 8-10 euros total.

since you're okay spending a bit, check out the sisyphos bar near frankfurter tor. it's a club/bar complex with a big garden and a quieter indoor area called the halle, they have wifi and people are around until late even on mondays. you can buy a drink for around 4-5 euros and camp in the halle with your laptop, nobody will care about noise because the music is already playing. just make sure you're not near the dance floor, the back couches by the bar are usually dead on a weekday

honestly a late night work session in berlin is doable but most cafes close by 8 or 9. your best bet is a 24/7 spot like the st. oberholz near alexanderplatz, they have wifi and people are usually on laptops until late. it's not super quiet but for a loud meeting you might want to grab a corner table or sit outside if it's warm. they do charge a bit for drinks but nothing crazy, maybe 3-4 euros for a coffee or beer.

another option is the betahaus coworking space in kreuzberg, they have a bar area that's open late and you can just buy a drink and use the wifi. it's a bit more chill and you won't feel weird talking loudly. just check their hours for that specific monday, sometimes events change things.

if you're really stuck, some spätis (late-night shops) have outdoor seating and free wifi but that's a gamble on noise and weather. i'd go with st. oberholz first, it's reliable

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
