Best authentic Peruvian restaurants?

Hi everybody, a Peruvian friend of mine is coming to visit, and since she lives in a part of Germany with not much access to great Peruvian restaurants, my hope is to take her to a great place here. What would you recommend?

honestly, if you want to impress her, skip the touristy spots and head to La Bodeguita in Schoneberg. they do a really solid ceviche clasico that actually tastes like lime and rocoto, not just a citrus bomb. the lomo saltado is legit too, though portions are a bit small for the price (around 15 euro). fwiw, i'd call ahead to check if they have lucuma for dessert, cause it sells out fast and it's worth it

If she's craving something beyond the classics, try Los Chamos in Friedrichshain. They focus on Peruvian street food and the salchipapas are a guilty pleasure, but the real standout is their jalea mixta, it's a massive platter of fried seafood with a proper salsa criolla. It's a smaller spot so you might want to grab a table on the quieter side of the room, and they do take cards now which is convenient.

i'd actually recommend Inti in neukölln, it's super low-key and feels more like a home kitchen than a restaurant. the causa limeña is probably the best in town, really creamy and the aji amarillo hits right. they do a pisco sour that's not watered down either, which is rare around here. just note it's cash only and they close pretty early, like 9pm most nights

Best tattoo artist in town?

i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.

The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
