Any multilingual sprachcafes to have conversations?

Hey! I usually stumbled upon german sprachcafes for new comers. Yet i am looking for practicing other languages and have daily conversations. Thank youu! Hey! The one at Markthalle Neun in Friedrichshain on Thursday evenings is worth a look. It's called Polyglot Club and people set up in the beer garden when the weather's nice, with different language tables scattered around. I've found the German table is usually the biggest so you have to hunt a bit for the less common languages, but there's always someone doing French or Spanish. Entry is free but you're expected to buy a drink from the bar inside, and it runs from 7 to around 9.

honestly check out the language meetups at Cafe Botanico in Neukolln, they do multilingual nights every Tuesday around 7. it's not strictly a sprachcafe but people rotate between tables speaking different languages, I've practiced french and spanish there. the crowd is a mix of locals and expats so it feels less formal than a classroom. they charge like 5 euros for entry which includes a drink

You should check out the Wednesday evening gatherings at the Alte Feuerwache in Kreuzberg. They have a room dedicated to language exchange where people set up tables by language, and it's free to join. I've had good conversations in Italian and Japanese there, and the vibe is really relaxed because it's in a community center rather than a commercial cafe. They usually go from 6 to 9, but people trickle in and out.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
