They all look frequently used and sometimes you can find a bunch of bikes parked right outside or a few steps inside the path. I read an article about the park itself being a cruising spot and that there are a few spots for nudists but they were talking about different areas of the park. I didn't walk in yet because I don't want to walk into something I'm no part of. Maybe someone know more?

yeah that hill's been the cruising spot for decades, tbh the bikes are basically the unofficial coat check. if u just wanna wander, go in the morning around 9 or 10, it's dead quiet and u can see the little paths without feeling like ur interrupting anything. also the nudist meadow is actually more toward the middle, near the big open lawn by the fkk sign, totally separate vibe. honestly though, nobody's gonna kick u out for walking through, just don't stop and stare if u see something.

honestly the whole western hill area is just unofficially zoned as the gay cruising zone, has been since way back. the bikes thing is spot on, that's the tell. if u wanna check it out without vibing wrong, go on a sunday afternoon, it's way more chill and mixed, lots of people just walking dogs or cutting through. the nudist thing is a different spot altogether, that's the big lawn near the schillerpromenade side, look for the fkk sign, it's super casual and not sexual at all. tbh if u just walk the main path and don't wander into the thickets, nobody cares, it's a public park after all.

You've got the right instincts. That wooded hill on the western side is indeed the classic cruising area, and the bikes parked just off the path are a pretty reliable sign that people are out there for more than a stroll. It's not exclusive or anything, but if you just want to walk through, stick to the main gravel paths and you'll be fine, nobody's going to bother you. The nudist spot you read about is more towards the middle of the park near the big meadow, which is a totally different vibe and very family friendly during the day. If you're curious but not interested in joining, early weekday mornings are the quietest time to explore without feeling like you're in the way.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
