Does your Hausarzt provide an Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung without visiting their Praxis?

Or do you know of any that provide this? Besides Teledoctor.

I have a chronic illness and I'm sick a little too often. Today I barely can move out of bed but I need to go to the doctor's office and wait a long time (without guarantee that they will see me) because I didn't plan 3 months in advance to get sick today and get an appointment so this feels so dreading and counterproductive when I really need to rest.

Most Hausärzte in Berlin won't do it without seeing you in person, it's pretty standard. You might try calling your Praxis and explaining the situation, sometimes they'll squeeze you in for a quick slot if you're a regular patient.

Yeah, pretty much every Hausarzt wants to see you in person for that. Some Praxen have early morning offene Sprechstunde slots where you can just show up without an appointment, so it might be worth calling to ask if yours does that.

Honestly you are asking a hell of a lot here. No legit doctor is gonna hand out a sick note without laying eyes on you unless you are basically dying in their waiting room. The whole point of the AU is that they verify you are actually sick. If you're a chronic patient some Pra

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
